The pillow I couldn't find, so I built it myself.
Hi, I'm Sophie.
I'm a mum of two, and for ten years I worked as a product manager, building everyday things and testing them until they actually worked. So I knew a good product when I saw one. What I didn't know was that my own son was sleeping on the wrong pillow every night.
He snored. He slept with his mouth open. He woke up tired, with little shadows under his eyes. Everyone told me he'd grow out of it.
What I found stopped me cold
So I started reading and speaking with sleep specialists. I learned how closely a child's sleeping position, breathing habits and pillow height can be connected.
I had assumed pillow choice was something we could worry about later. Instead, I realised that supporting a child's head and neck properly during their growing years mattered far more than I had thought.
So I built it myself
This part I knew how to do. Eighteen months, paediatric specialists, product testing, late nights and dozens of prototypes.
Some were too high. Some too soft. Some had the wrong angle. Eventually we arrived at the supportive three-zone shape that became Zuvio.
I tested it with my own family before I ever felt comfortable offering it to anyone else.
